Dear Friends of ‘63,

Jack Benny once said that “Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” We may not mind (well, maybe) that we’re growing older, but we will mind if we let this year pass without celebrating our 40th class reunion.

The weekend of November 8 is homecoming weekend for P.S.J.A. Bears. The steering committee here in the Valley has planned a weekend for us to enjoy the company of friends from our days at P.S.J.A.

Friday, November 8
• 1:30 p.m. - Tea for Exes.... at the the new high school...805 W. Ridge Rd (South of our old high school in San Juan)
• Registration for our reunion following the Exes’ Tea (Leftover registration packets will be at front desk of Hilton Garden Inn after 5:00 p.m.)
• 2:30 p.m. - Pep Rally.... at the new high school
• Tour of ‘our’ old high school (now a middle school)
• 6:30 p.m. - Homecoming Game with pre-game program beginning at (designated seating area for class of ‘63)
• 9:45 p.m. (approx.) - After-game gathering.... at Graham Central Station  (located in El Centro Mall, Jackson Road & Hiway 83 with music from the 50’s and 60’s ($5.00 cover charge per person at the door)

 

Saturday, November 9
• Free time to visit old places and old friends
• 7:00 p.m. - Delicious botana platter meal at Poncho’s Mexico Nuevo Restaurant.... (808 North Cage, Pharr 956.782.9991)

Sunday, November 10
• 10:00 a.m. – ‘Saying goodbye breakfast’....Poncho’s in Pharr... (Pay your own Breakfast Buffet )

The cost for the weekend is $25.00 for singles or $40.00 per couple. This includes the football game tickets and dinner on Saturday night.

Make your checks payable to “P.S.J.A. Class of ’63”. 

To register mail your name, address, phone number and check to Oscar Palacios, 1899 N. Cage, Pharr, Texas 78577.  Please include your ‘Maiden Name’ if appropriate.

Both registration information and check must be received by September 20!

Note: Special room rates are available at Hilton Garden Inn, 617 Expressway 83, for $55.00 + taxes per night (Fri, Sat, and/or Sun).
